Let's get it on!

Let’s get it on…

Nowadays, fashion is constantly moving. We are not aware of how quick it moves because, at the end, we are victims of it (and we love it). “To look cool” makes us feel like a part of society, and within this society we find the ever-changing definitions of ‘style’.

Style defines something personal. Style is a set of features and details that distinguishes us from others. There exist countless varieties: vintage, boho, rock, casual. However, the choice we make reflects our personality, our mood and mostly the weather as well. Yet this variation impacts on our own perception of style. Respecting our individual nature, we can use these influences and inspirations to create our very own style and on top of that look ‘cool’ and fashionable.

Here is where I can say a famous sentence that we´ve listened so many times before: Style is not what you wear but how you wear it” It is to convey without talking. It can be curious at times, how the way we dress up affects not only the perception of ourselves but the others too. Keeping true to our true personality is utterly important to be able to express our style.

It is impossible at this point to separate fashion from style. As one depends on the other. But in this blog I want to focus on style, to take advantage of our personal qualities, to adapt it to any circumstances (working, personal, economic and/o weather conditions…) and to develop ways these expressive outfits. It is important never to forget the rule of “less is more”. And sometimes we have to be daring enough to risk things, in order to ‘create style’.

More and more we find ourselves under the increasing influence of marketing strategies that often make us believe that fashion is about investing money. And yes, maybe this is (partly) right, but as I said, this is about style. Lucky for us: Many amazing fashion blogs, ‘low cost’ brands and our own imagination prove us the opposite.

This is where I stand. I claim that style can be ‘good, beautiful and cheap’.

EMPEZAMOS…
